Representative of the International Investment Technopolis operator - Tatarstan Development Corporation – presented during the roundtable on urban development and infrastructure.
During the Kazan Smart City report were noted the stages of the project, the main areas of development, smart and green initiatives and plans to cooperate in this field.
«Urban planning and infrastructure» roundtable moderated by the Head of interaction with the legislative and the supreme executive body department, attracting foreign investment «Fund for Housing Development» Nikita Bantsekin and Executive Director of the world's largest architectural and consultancy agency «Nikken Sekkei Ltd» Takeshi Nakavake. Mr. Nakavake, in particular, during the discussions told about «Smart TOD» - environmentally friendly urban development with an emphasis on public transport.
The main topics for discussion were the new urban development program and infrastructure development in Moscow, «Smart City» and «Smart Grid», the strategy of export infrastructure from Japan
and expectations of the Russian market, as well as cooperation in the construction and transport infrastructure.
Implemented in the Republic of Tatarstan Kazan Smart City project will be a driver which will change the modern Russian city planning and give understanding that "smart" city fits perfectly on the global trend.
Together with a representative of Tatarstan Development Corporation as speakers of the roundtable presented: Fesco Trading Transport Group Vice President Arkadiy Korostelyov, Senior Advisor to the President of JSC «Russian Railways» Boris Lapidus, Nomura Research Institute Department of infrastructure development consulting Senior Consultant Hideyuki Yamada, Toshiba Corporation Vice President, Toshiba Corporation Social Infrastructure Systems Company Vice President Takeshi Yokota. The Japanese representatives has presented Reorganization of industrial areas projects and «Smart City» in major cities, also told about Toshiba investments in Russia and innovations in energy infrastructure.
